I have followed and enjoyed Mr. Tapply's work since I was a kid. He's always been very special as an author. I am truly saddened by your loss, Vicki and family.

I just happened to be on the Clark University website and saw the posting about Bills passing. My condolences to his family, friends and fans. I lost touch with Bill after graduating from LHS 25 years ago, but the memories of sitting with Mr. Tapply in his A House office still reside deep in my heart. He was a great teacher, counselor and advisor to so many of us, and he genuinely listened to our troubles, and shared in our dreams and thoughts on life. Its wonderful to learn he has left such an amazing legacy; its obvious hell be missed by many.

I am one of millions who are saddened by William Tapply's passing. I loved all of his books and in particular the ones co-written with my other favorite author, Phil Craig. Don't know what I am going to do now that 2 of my favorites are fishing together in Heaven. My sincerest condolences to his family. I mourn with you.

Many pleasant hours spent over 25 years reading his wonderful books and a lucky few hours on a couple of occasions chatting with him. Had a chance to tell him why "Tight Lines" was on my personal list of special mysteries. Glad I did.
