I was saddened to hear the news. In 2007 I contacted Bill to attend a work shop but unfortunatly, for me, they were no longer offered. He did, however offer to mentor me to publication but at the time I still had a child in college so put it off till now. I have just located my final Brady Coyne book, have read all, and decided to write. I will miss the possibility of our email communication.

I discovered the joy of reading William Tapply in mid February. I'm down to my last three books and I'm getting depressed knowing there won't be any more. Mr. Tapply, thank you for sharing your talent with us. I feel like I've lost a very good friend. God speed.

I just read of the passing of william and thought it I must just leave this message.
I dont actually read myself but my wife was reading one of his books at the time in 2004 when she was tragically killed in a road accident but I coulnt find the book so I e-mail william and he replied telling me which book it was because my wife explained of the places in the book and said she wanted to go there and we were about to do it when she died so after I knew I made a determined effort to read it and then made the visit to bozeman with my son/William tappley as an author rings in my head always may he rest in peace and god bless his soul----Bob Hughes UK

I love reading and re-reading the Brady Coyne series. While looking for new books, I learned of Mr. Tapply's death. I am deeply saddened and wish to express my sincere condolences. Mr. Tapply's works will always be my favorites.

Just read on Facebook under a "Lexington" forum that Bill "left"! Shocked. I remember a couple of years ago that he became ill but no knowledge of how grave the illness was.

Bill was my Playground Instructor at Maria Hastings Schoolyard my 11th & 12th years of life, while he was a college student. I read all of his books over the last few years and am so glad I was able to correspond a bit w/him to let him know I appreciated his leadership as a kid, and in fact, I became a Playground Instructor, too, the year I graduated LHS and went into college. I'm also glad I was able to tell him I enjoyed his writing emensely.

My thoughts are w/Vicki and his children now. This must have been a very tough year. A huge loss for them, I know.
