We will miss his wonderful fiction. And Henry! And now we'll never know how it worked out with Brady's grandchild.

For some reason I found myself being nostalgic as I stood in Borders Bookstore taking advantage of a holiday gift card and their "Going Out Of Business" sale and I scanned the mystery section for any sign of Mr. Tapply's books; I stumbled upon Outwitting Trolls, and only upon opening it did I learn about his death. I was a student of Mr. Tapply's at LHS in the mid '80's, and also became a fan of his fiction, devouring the early Brady Coyne novels with glee. Mr. Tapply was such a kind, intelligent, thoughtful man, he clearly made an impression upon me as a student. I'm sorry to hear of his passing; I'm very thankful to have had the chance to know him. My belated condolences on your loss.

I just found out today by accident that William Tappley one of my very favorite mystery writers died in July 2009. I am so very sorry for his family and selfishly for myself and all his followers, where will we be without Brady Coyne???
