I've read 18 of WGT's books and enjoyed every one of them. I am working my way through the remainder-- saddened to think there will be no more. He was a class individual, which came through in his work.

I was so sorry to hear of Bill's passing, and sorrier still to hear of his having spent a long time with his illness. You'd never detect such a thing in his writing. After JW passed, we all hoped Brady would be around for a long time. My heart goes out to the whole family.

I recently "discovered" Mr. Tapply's books, and I've been reading all the ones I can get my hands on. Needless to say it was a huge shock to learn that he is no longer with us. Thanks for the wonderful books, Bill. I love the way you describe the fishing, nature. Your stories never become too violent, so they are peaceful to read. Something we need in these turbulent times, a way to float off into a world of beauty and quiet. Thank you.

I met Wm. Tapply by way of Philip Craig and enjoyed them separately and in their collaborations. Haven't found any others as good and doubt I will!

I wish someone in the family - or a fellow fisherman with permission - would continue the Stoney Calhoun series. My world needs Stoney Calhoun in it.
