In checking out the publication date of Mr. Craig's latest novel I was met with the sad news of his passing.
I knew him through his books only, which I discovered a little more than a year ago. I wish I had the chance to meet him, however I was always impressed that he answered his own e-mails.
I will joins the hundreds of others who feel his loss and send my sympathies. We must remember that as long as his books and words exist he will always be with us.
My best to the family. I will be thinking about you on August 4.

Your tribute to Phil Craig is very moving. I was stunned to learn of his death when I went to his web site a few minutes ago. I had just picked up a signed first edition of "A Beautiful Place to Die", the only book of his that I didn't have and wanted to mention to him that I now have all of his books. Phil will be sorely missed. When an author passes whole worlds pass with him God Bless you Phil!
