I just finished the first Stoney Calhoun novel, Bitch Creek, and enjoyed the read immensely. Having grown up and worked in western Maine, I could relate to the scenes (particularly the Brownfield fire of '47) and characters . . .having fished a good deal of the water there, I could likewise relate to both the fishing motif as well as the trout:-) Looking forward to the next novel.

I'm from Belmont, mother from Jaffery, grandmother from Swanzy, camp all summer for 8 yrs at Fleur de Lis, Fitzwilliam. Reading your books is like a visit from an old childhood friend. Thanks for many hours of enjoyment and fond memories.

Just finished "Out Cold." I'm betting that on page 163 you meant a Civil War cannon, since they didn't use cannonballs in WWI. On page 239 Brady gets into his wool pants, but on page 245 he jumps into a snowbank with his faded blue jeans. Other then that, good book.

Just finished "Nervous Water" - read it almost in one sitting - great story. At the end I thought I really knew each person. And fine ending. You and Phillip Craig must have gotten your writing skills from the same teacher. There's another book of yours at the library and I knew I should have taken it out - well, I'll just run down and pick it up. Thanks!
