I only read for pleasure in the summer due to my work in Academia. I became familiar with Bill through Phil Craig's work and just read 5 of his books while on vacation last week. It was with great shock and sadness that I learned of his passing. I am glad to hear is no longer suffering. My best wishes to his family. You must be very proud.

As a college professor, I get little time to read for pleasure. 5 years ago I stumbled across Phil Craig's Vineyard Mysteries and loved them. after learning if his death and greatly saddened by it, I found Mr. Tappley's Coyne novels. I just finished reading 5 of them on a week long vacation at the end of the semester. I just learned of his death and can't believe it. My heartfelt sympathies to his family and thanks for the wonderful worksof art. I will miss his work greatly.

I recently started reading Mystery Fiction, Writing the Modern Whodunit. As a neophyte mystery writer, I am learning the trade. The book's straight-forward style makes it accessible. It covers all the basic tools for the genre. I am sorry its author is no longer with us. I am sure he was a great teacher and an excellent author.

I have just finished reading "Outwitting Trolls" and am saddened to realize that there will be no more Brady Coyne novels. I have been an avid reader for quite a while in a far off country and have visited our son who is now a permanent resident of the lovely city of Boston.
