"They make us happy and proud, and I will refrain from saying anything about their non-production of grandchildren." We followed the same rule and 8 (eight) years later Erin is expecting the 1st with a due date of 3/17/07 with a boy to me named Colin Atticus. Kerry got married on 10/21/06 and we are following the rule, even if it takes 8 years ;-) This is way better than 7NT. Penny & Paul

Non~stop read best describes my approach to your work, Bitch Creek. This was my first exposure to your work. I did pause in my read on the third sentence, page 237 " Wrong Place at the wrong time. " I believe ( and I realize i may be in the minority ) the correct phrasing should be " In the right place at the right time." After all, if a person is in the wrong place at the wrong time --nothing will happen to them. To get run over by the proverbial bus, a person has to be standing on the road ( right place) when the bus comes by ( right time ). Standing on the curb when the bus goes by is being in the " wrong place at wrong time." Nothing happens. As I mentioned, a brief pause in my read. I continued on with being enthralled by your characters. Your writing provided me with a wonderful time. I thank You.

I am a lawyer in Boston who actually lives in Lewis Wharf! I have read many of your books. I wanted to correst a mistake you made in Out Cold on page 56, you say that Massachusetts is a community property state; it is not; we have equitable distribution, which is not a 50/50 split like community property. Also, I was curious about your character name choice of Dana Wetherbee; I know a woman with that name who lives in Concord, Mass. It is such an unusual name, I wondered how she came to be in the book.
