I am saddened by the loss of words that afforded the reader vivid images of personality, circumstance and amazing clarity. But most of all, Mr. Tapply's readers lost a friend they relied on for true literary pleasure. Mr. Tapply's family should know this loss is felt by all he has touched. I will think of him every time I purchase a book. Thank You.

I just learned of Mr. Tapply's passing and extend my condolences to his family. I've only recently become a reader of his writings but have read every single book he wrote. I will certainly miss him.

I just learned of your fathers death and I am so saddened. I wrote him and had him sign a book for a friend and I have his card in my billfold. I love his books and have read most of them. I also fly fish so he books touched on that too. How sad and so young. My sympathy to you.

I was very sorry to learn today that Bill had passed away in September. His new books were always anticipated by me and in fact, I just finished reading his latest. He will be missed.
