First, let me say how much I enjoy your books. As a native Bostonian, the settings are fun for their familiarity, and Brady Coyne is my kind of character. Look forward to more books.
The particular reason I write however, is the coincidence of Brady's dog, Henry D. Thoreau. I do own a Brittany whose name Is Henry David Thoreau; how about that? Whether you own said dog in real life, you certainly are familiar with their customary behaviors, and as a Psychologist, I confess I have not been able to change any of them.
I raised Chesapeake Bay retrievers for thirty years, none has brought me the joy of this guy.
So sterling a dog is Henry, that he has his own web site, waldenbachelor (you can add the com, as the guestbook won't let me :-). You may enjoy a look.
Thanks again for the pleasure of your books,
Bert Malatesta

I am now reading your book Hell Bent. On page 102 you use the old cliche "cordite". As an outdoor person I would have thought you knew this stuff hasn't been used in decades, most particularly not in pistols. Like your novels but this disappointed me.

I have just read Hell Bent. I wonder why all of your major characters use the word JESUS as an expletive. I would not be surprised if one or a few did, but why would Brady, Gus, Alex, Horowitz, Jemma, Anna Langley all be so unimaginative"

Bill, My wife and I have really enjoyed the Brady Coyne novels, but we particularly like your Stoney Calhoun character and hope for more about him! Stay well.
